Right, first of all, I don't want to get into the whole "changing current badge targets - adding badges after gold" debate. I think that there are enough threads already about those subjects.
----------------------------------------My suggestion is for a badge to show that you have contributed to a project, but have not managed to get enough days of crunching in to get a bronze. I only managed 3 days on Genome Comparison for example so I have no badge. I wondered whether it would be possible to have the logo just against a transparent background for contributions under 14 days? I think that it would look suitably unimpressive enough to not detract from the impact of the gold/silver/bronze, whilst acknowledging a small contribution towards that project (every result counts). |

Yeah - I saw that and it gave me the thought of posting it as a new thread in this forum rather than in the Beta forum. However, I don't think that removing the badge if the project ends is a good idea and something that shows the logo rather than just a blacked out placeholder would be better I think?

If I earned the badge already, I want to show that I earned it even after the project ends and not it being removed after the project ends...I think it is like taking the medals from Olympic games winners after the next Olympics and telling them "there are new winners, so you do not deserve the medal anymore"... |
