I think most of us have a personal grudge against cancer and are pleased to fight back. HFCC is especially meaningful to me since lukemia took my kid brother almost 40 years ago. rose

I've been mainly following it online from my grandmother. Last time I saw the father he was maybe about 10 years old, but the news gave me more incentive for this project. Really sad part was it looked like she beat it but it came back and killed her. We do need to find a cure or at least way better treatments than we have now.

Also, I hated cancer since it took my first cat from a brain tumor when I was 6 in 1980. I'm a big time cat lover. A friend of mine (a former coworker who is 65) is also fighting cancer at this point. I'm taking part in all WCG active projects and a couple other.
As the late great Carl Sagan said, science is a candle against the darkness of a demon haunted world (in other words pseudoscientific idiocy. That nonsense that promises false hope makes me madder than anything.)
