Yes, there is an SSL issue.
Yes, the techs have been informed. There is no need to retry, BOINC will do it automatically. The servers have redundancy, so it will work intermittently. If you have trouble accessing the forums, then try again via the non-SSL pages - you have a 50% chance of succeeding. However, clicking "refresh" on the failed page is unlikely to work. Please try and keep discussion of this issue to one thread. Thank you. |

Certainly enough clients bounced into deferral time count down due this to not let their work get uploaded on Sunday night, rather on Monday morning, generating a record: 138:253:12:53:04 105,065,682 182,413

Not only ssl errors, now I'm receiving a computation error on a completed task (something that's never happened before) and beside that I'm getting a message that 2 of my projects are not available and have been replaced by Nutritious Rice for the World instead. Excuse me if I get ready to panic especially if the computation error results in a completed task being not credited.

Excuse me if I get ready to panic especially if the computation error results in a completed task being not credited. It's very unlikely you're computation error is related to the known ssl issue. Of course it's dissapointing if you get a computation error, but it happens some time, either due to an issue on your computer of an issue in the workunit. As long as its random and errors are far apart this is not something to worry about too much. If you're worried it might be bigger or you see a pattern best way to report it is by posting in the Sub forum of the related science (rice in your case) Also check the FAQ to see what information you should provide if you decide to go that way. |
