persistant notifacation

I am getting the notifacation that says please connect to the internet then do comunication...
doesnt matter whether or not that there is an internet connection....
just a nic nothing else...
restart , unplug nic, close box,,,,
nothing helps box keeps popping up just as fast as i close it...
even whilst the client is uploading or downloading (doing network comunication)
should i shoot it...lol

What if you set the Activity menu option Network Activity Suspended?

If hardwired to router, switch cable with other computer.

What client version and on what OS?

switched different cables already..
client is newest from here 2weeks ago
win xp pro 32

okay, localhost also runs over the NIC. BOINC.exe and BOINC Manager communicate over IP 127.0.0.1 Maybe that's somehow being intermittently obstructed. Could be the security software funking in.

naked os install and client thats it windows firewall off.
streamlined processes also.
there is another pc next to it that is identical it doesnt have the prob..
when i say identical it means it exact same hardware and software
not really bothersome to me cause theese 2 pc are just crunchers ya know freebies...btw they are p4 2.8s w/40gtig hdd 512 mb ram..
