Re: Gamblers inc

I must go down to the shops again
The busy shops, and buy
for all I ask is some groceries
the week to get me by..

(with apologies to John Masefield!)

Morning everyone.

Re: Gamblers inc

Greetings all

The last time I was on a real choo-choo was on the Bluebell line. They then had plans to extend the line to East Grinstead when they could then have the ability to join up with the other groups around the country.

Re: Gamblers inc

Morning all smile Pouring with rain here which is something we have not seen for many a day, or week! sad Obviously the gardens are going to be happy about it, but I am not so pleased as I need to go to the shops! sad crying Guess I will take a big breath (and an umbrella) and 'go forth'! I will then see what can be done to the "hair" when I get home (as if anyone was looking or even the slightest bit concerned!!)

Have a good day everyone and hope you all manage to stay dry! smile wink cool

Re: Rain

Good moaning all........

Very wet here in the midlands too.........

Merle what ever happend to those little plastic head covers you girls used to wear in the rain, they were very popular in the sixties, but then so were the sexy curlers worn by Ena Sharples biggrin devilish

Rain
by Shel Silverstein

I opened my eyes
And looked up at the rain,
And it dripped in my head
And flowed into my brain,
And all that I hear as I lie in my bed
Is the slishity-slosh of the rain in my head.

I step very softly,
I walk very slow,
I can't do a handstand--
I might overflow,
So pardon the wild crazy thing I just said--
I'm just not the same since there's rain in my head.

So there you have it, thats the problem I have crying biggrin

Have a great day all ....... good luck rose

Old Sage wink

I think I can say - with complete honesty!! - that I never, ever, for half a second ever contemplated putting one of those on my head!! devilish I could be seen walking around with wet hair, straggling down over my face and anything else it reached, but that was always preferable to the Ena Sharples "look"!!. wink biggrin

Re: Rain

Greetings all.

Another damp, damp day which makes the grass grow but removes the chance of cutting it. Where can I buy a scythe?
