Re: Summertime

Just returned from a tour of local petrol stations..

The tank was just creeping into the red MT mark
I would have filled up on thursday but the forecourts were overflowing

My logic was, first thing Saturday morning should be plain sailing

quite pleased to find this was indeed the fact no overfull forecourts
empty ones in fact
Morrisons only had unleaded
Sainsbuggers Closed nil zero fuel
Asda Unleaded only

The independent attached to a Spar shop was not busy
Just steady
£1.49 ltr

Against £ 1.43 at the other three but the point being the guy had Diesel and was able to dispense

Re: Summertime

Evening all

As one not needing to buy petrol or diesel it seems to me this was an idiotic statement from a government department which produced a crisis when none existed.

Re: Summertime

Good Morning!
A cool 4C, mainly sun apart from small, drifting, unthreatening clouds, a bit of wind ...
- don't be fooled,
have a very nice biggrin

Re: Summertime

The link below should be explanatory

When we took delivery of diesel /avgas fuel for our gas turbines (Olympus ? Concorde Engines ) we had to test the flash point expecting 80/100f
gasoline is much more volatile and has a heavy vapour

"not many people know that" (said Michael Cain )

Re: Summertime

Greetings all.

A tad cool outside but sunny all day and the last time I collected a palm was in Paddy's Wigwam in Liverpool. That thrilled the Irish wife of schooldays friend of mine.
