Evening all

Not only is it Remembrance day tomorrow it'll be the one occasion when, if you choose the right time you can hit all the ones.

In Germany it'll be the start of Carnival to rejoice in the end of the conflict. When living there I had a couple who were friends of mine who decided finally to get married and managed to secure the 'all the elevens' spot at the registry office for the wedding.

I put my poppy on today: I'm not very keen on the tendency for important dates to be stretched so, for me, they lose part of the impact.

Soon, we'll be having Christmas carols.
