March 1997...was the happy year for me. The end of 36 years of three shifts working, no more night shifts.
----------------------------------------Christmas day the same as 95% of the rest of the world to be enjoyed with the family, not in some hot/cold, noisy, oily environment. Just so the rest of engerland could watch Wizard of Oz,The Great Escape and Her Royalness's speech while slumped on the sofa after overindulging. Christmas on shift was a week of turkey & mince pie sarnies , stuffing soup . Brussels sprout Jelly (Thank heavens for Tupperware) Any way retirement is a great invention  |
