Evening all

Memo to self: must remember not to have any Christmas presents that need to be posted. I had to go to the post office this morning to send one small package and spent a quarter of an hour in a queue despite there being 5 windows manned (? or womaned).

Chilly today but my boiler behaving itself for the moment and I deal with a small company that has serviced and installed a new one over the period of 13 years with one of the same two guys turning up within hours if it were urgent.

the boiler is controlled from the thermostat in the hall which witlessly sends requests to receiver in boiler cupboard this has been replaced biggrin

Hi all, Still crunching. Just a quick update to let you know:

that I'm attempting to hit the 1 Million Points mark by January 1st (as recorded by boincstats, its current predicion is January 3rd so I need to see if I can poke a few more results in fast.)
For a long time I've felt a bit of a fraud on here, that everyones talked about friends and loved one's who've suffered from cancer and other illnesses that we're tackling - and I havn't. Because I didn't have anyone in that situation, and I was lucky. Well, a few weeks ago, my Uncle nearly died from Leukaemia, and I'll admit I really knew nothing about that illness until it happened, and now it looks like he might be 'ok' (that is of course better then the alternative). And It gives me some hope that actually, other people pumping data into WCG and related in the past might have helped him, and so this might help people in the future. So I want to thank all of you who've been crunching longer then I have, and all of you who havn't, because every big, and every little, helps.
