Re: Re:

making me prime minister would probably be the single constitutional action our politicians have left devilish

lil'sis is in full preparation of her role as godmother of a certain little critter
devilish
i'll remind her to drop by

getting hold of the belgian government part 2

letter calling for me to be present in election boot has no phone number
googled 'em devilish
found the official election website, maintained by aforementioned non-existent government, mentioning phone number
turns out to the be office maintaining the census or something "yes I know, that telephone number on the site is wrong, you have to call the ministery of interior affairs"
so I do
there they tell me "call the justice of the peace"
so I do
there they tell me "oh we can't help with that, call the court house"
website of the courthouse mentions...no telephone number (but it's the same adress as the letter...they just don't want to be found) devilish
googled some more
call
it rings on endlessly
after a few tries
I get told that a simple proof of maternity leave will do
so I have to call my health insurance
which I do
there they kindly offer to mail me one...butttt as everyone in this country with an election roughly every 2 months or so knows, you have to react to "the letter" within 48h or you get a big fine...(belgians are well-known for their enthousiasm for helping out in elections in any way possible)
when I point this well-known fact out to the lady of the health insurance she replies rather disappointedly "ah yes, then it might be a bit late if I mail it.."
so in the end I offer to drop by in the office in the city
cool

Re: Re:

cool

story is still ongoing by the way, the insurance (after an hour-long wait) couldn 't really confirm that the form they gave me would be enough
they told me to write the phone number of my doc on it??
no one knows what's going on in this country
devilish

Re: Re:

Evening all

A pleasantly warm day allowed a lot of washing to be done and much of it dried outside for the first time this year.

Cut the grass, tidied up a bit and tomorrow will have the advanced supermarket haul to leave me free for the start of the Test on Thursday.

Re: Re:

Sun is still shining but temperature well down from yesterday! Quite a relief to be honest - but then we are not accustomed to these high temperatures here in the UK are we? I had a sort of brainstorm last evening - no idea why! But I suddenly went out an did an hour's gardening in the cool and it is a great feeling this morning. Not only does it all look very nice, but I don't have to do it today!!
