We could get some europ type stations AFN Hilversom or best known Radio Luxembourg
as dusk fell


There not being tooo many radio progs to listen to

Wimmins hour used to follow " Listen with mother"
not my feminine side comminig to the fore it was good general interest topics

In the Owld days dear, one used to have to be allowed to listen
to the Wireless after a certain hour

We did have a loud speaker tho & the gas light Didnt affect the sound
