Evening all
Not a day for venturing out here but, if you can believe them, the next few days are supposed to reveal that there is a great big red thing up in the sky. Yes, I still find it hard to used to the idea that we are a serious nation now in the bikes area. I haven't taken mine out of the shed for some time now. It's not quite the same in the Smoke but I do remember the thrill of spending a few hours in the countryside with a good steady touring speed. I was never a racer. Now, I look at my shoes, helmet and other gear and keep thinking I should get them to Oxfam but the memory lingers on and they stay in the wardrobe. |

Evening all. Day started fine, dog and I went for a walk, got about a mile from home. Heavens opened, came back soaked to the skin!
River Swale is up to the top of the bank, by tomrrow if this continues, I will break its banks again! John Morley rang from Kenya to say he was having nice weather! |

Spent the Day in Ossett, just to the north of Wakefield wiv my cuz.....no sign of rain there....just excellent food of the gods! (Yorkshire fish&chips) There is a very good fish restraunt there which is always fully booked even on a sunday lunch....all the cousins meet a couple of times a year....
