I trust you are all well, and Begium is getting some of the weather we have been having. I blame the EU myself! hehehehehe woohooooooo I have a badge i'm so proud got knocked off my bike (not the small one ...Whew) by a car yesterday, lousy driver was at fault, he must not have been aware of the existence of cyclists anyway no real harm done, small bruise on my hand and a vague longing for revenge because there's a tear in my jacket sleeve... :ninja: |

Yesterday was fair skies, no such luck today. Raining and cool. Hope some of you can enjoy the day.

Evening all
The morning was bright and fair. My wife opened her presents, we had a glass of champers and the walked round the corner for a birthday lunch. All very good but when it came time to leave it was pouring so, another cup of coffee until it eased a bit and I could (I was going to say sprint but it was hardly that) a quick trot back to the house to collect umbrellas. En route, the lady in the flower shop tells me that my Christmas tree has arrived so I also have to trot along with that. It's a 4 ft potted one so will stay in the back garden until Christmas eve. Just got the recycling out for tomorrow's collection and it is still belting down. |

Hi all, bit damp again today, dog restricted to back garden!
Other than that not such a bad day, Christmas cards have started arriving so spent some time writing some out ready to send. Decided to treat myself this year to a new television, a colour one would you belive? I asked the man in the shop if it will still let me play my back and white videos and CDs, but he just went "Tut Tut", shook his head and smiled to knowingly, so I guess it wont. I hope you are all well. |

Evening all
I shouldn't think it possible to buy a new CRT television set today. My local Freecycle group have been giving them away like mad as they move on to flat screens. On my weekly visit to Sainsbury's I see that you can buy a flat screen with a built in DVD player for just under 150 quid. That'll also play your CDs and if you've got a VCR to plug in all your old tapes are OK too. Weather still pretty uncertain here with a fairly decent forecast for tomorrow followed by heavy rain on Saturday, which is our monthly gardening morning .... smashing! |
