Morning all
---------------------------------------- http://www.last.fm/music/Ronald+Binge/_/Sailing+By?autostart Traveller wrote Already got a black bin and a blue bin, I don't want a green one too. We have Bins for every thing ; The physical colour is Gray for domestic non recyclable = rubbish ... The Green one is for garden rubbish weeds, hedge clippings, grass cuttings and any compost able stuff. These two are quite Large Wheelie bins, I suppose around 250 lte . added to this we have boxes maybe 50lte colour coded lids. Cardboard and glass ,Green box yellow lid Newspaper, magazines and so on+ washed and crushed tins, Green box yellow lid. Last but not least the "Black Box Red Lid" for Plastic,But Hey not all Plastics tho, just milk, pop, water & washing up liquid bottles. Most super market packaging is rejected by the dustbintrucks resident Plasticoligist Having filled the Corporation/ City council owned Micro chipped receptacle. There is a coloured Date Chart instructing you which day to push the "bin" to the front of your Property ready for collection by 7am. Collections are every week, but alternate weeks different bins are designated. The boxes have lids that clip on, but when the contents are removed the boxes are left on your drive and the Lids nearby if its windy the game of chase your lid keeps us all fit The worst thing about these bins is where the hell do you store them? Our house has a special cubby hole for the old regular sized Dust bin which in no way fits the boxes or Wheelies. Access to the rear of our house is through the garage which is over some steps and I dont want to be hauling the dashed things any further than I need so now the front of our houses on the street is a mess. Hope that you havnt been bored with my explanation should you have managed to read this far.. Makes a change from w******r not left that subject out tho ![]() |

Good morning everyone
---------------------------------------- I'd recycle more if they'd give me bins. Here, you're expected to separate it and put in your car and drive it across town and put the proper items in the proper collection receptacle. Then it's taken to a recycling facility and checked. With some 35% of my local population out of work, they could build a facility to have the trash trucks dump thier entire contents and people could separate everything. Everybody wins, no special bins, no driving across town, new jobs, much less going in the landfill, more gets recycled. But our local government couldn't do anything constructive if thier life depended on it. Y'all have a great day ![]()

The Bins we have at the house are for normal domestic rubbish/Garbage/ Trash..Larger quantity's that wont fit the bins can be taken to recycling depots where large Skips Dumpsters the size of Shipping containers These are graded into types of rubbish,,Building rubble,White electrical goods,Timber,Garden Waste,Car Batteries,Oil,Paints,Solvents . We have a national rule regards land fill so less and less can go that route.
----------------------------------------When you look at what I put in My Bin Non recyclable it points to the fact that half of what I bring home from the shop goes straight into the bin so retailers should pay more attention to That. A green good afternoon to you all ![]() |
