Re: The Autumn chill

Moaning all........

Woken by a thud on the front door 7am, got up to investigate and found a Thompsons directory laying 'twix porch gate and door, obviously the delivery 'boy' was in too much of an hurry to post it properly, I hope the postman doesn't start to do the same! sad

Cold and very damp here in the midlands, rained heavy during the night.

Take care all..........

Re: The Autumn chill

Dry but chilly which is hardly surprising when I look at the date.

Re: The Autumn chill

Very cool but dry so it didn't stop the window cleaner coming round.

Re: The Autumn chill

Spent the day looking at this view in sunshine

This is the site of our Christmas fair Leighton Hall near Warton. its the home of the Reynolds family once the home of Gillow the furniture maker the house is full of Waring and Gillow Furniture .
Warton is where the Washington (US Presidential Family) came from
The church has the Washington crest Shield Stars and bars set in the base of the tower

If you check out the small coloured shield it shows three stars above a bar or stripe This is visible faintly on the stone next to Georges picture.

Washington House in the Village of Warton as you can see circa 1612.

Its certainly a Scenic spot this was two years ago it was cold but I preferred today's cold frostiness I was IC Car park and the parking was on a frozen grassy area so we only had one car stuck
