Hello Ofek123,
I do not know what is wrong, but what is happening is that the HPF2 application crashes. After that, apparently BOINC posts a message that HPF2 does not repond to messages from BOINC. The problem is the crash. I have no idea what causes that. Lawrence |

...... The problem is the crash. I have no idea what causes that. Lawrence I suppose this is the well known Vista/Quad/64bit combination, where HPF2 jobs crash very often. This is already known by the Techs, but I have no idea if they are investigating/repairing this problem anyway. That's the reason why a lot of crunchers have ticked off HPF2 for such devices for months and months now. |

Nope, 123bob is still running tests to find out why crashing on Vista.
----------------------------------------The 5.1.1.0 number in the screenshot is strange. Trust it's not the client version... should not work with WCG anyway. 5.2.xx is the minimum. Looked up the teams forum if there was anything more, but nothing additional. Ofek123, can you post the BOINC message log from around the time of the event. You find those in the stdoutdae.txt and stderrdae.txt files. Also can you go to the Result Status page and click on the "error" link and post the content. thanks Edit: Inserted RS link

Hi again,
----------------------------------------Don't know what your nationality is, but think we have a language barrier. Click on Error or Invalid link on the Result Status page where you saw that. That opens an additional window with a log for example: <core_client_version>6.2.28</core_client_version> <![CDATA[ <message> Incorrect function. (0x1) - exit code 1 (0x1) </message> <stderr_txt> ERROR:: Exit at: .\dock_structure.cc line:401 </stderr_txt> ]]> We'd like to see a copy.

Okay, that error message is familiar: Please visit this BOINC Frequently Asked Question item: http://boincfaq.mundayweb.com/index.php?language=1&view=98
----------------------------------------It's in general specific to a hardware or operating system / software installation problem. You need to work through the FAQ and correct the problem. ttyl
