So I registered a new account here at WCG and installed the BOINC client.
I connected to the WCG project and entered my username/password which were accepted, "You're successfully connected to the project" However, I'm unable to get any tasks and receive this message in the Messages tab: "Message from server: Invalid or missing account key. Visit this project's website to get an account key" I read on the FAQ that if you see this message you need to detach and reattach to the project which I've done with no success. I also tried installing the BOINC client on a 2nd computer with the same login and am having the same issues. Is there an issue with the WCG servers? Thanks, E |

There's a file: account_www.worldcommunitygrid.org.xml

In the BOINC data directory who's location is listed in the BOINC startup part of the message log.

Try now. Our messaging system seems to be getting stuck periodically. There is a new fixpack available so we will try installing it soon to see if that will solve the problem.
