Is there a way assuming appropriate access privileges, to check if a PC's BOINC client is running remotely? That is, without having to go to the client PC and bring up the tray icon and check it?
thanks! |

Yes, if on a lan, you have to set up the remote_hosts.cfg and the gui_rpc_auth.cfg files and of course configure the remote hosts firewall etc so that a remote pc has sufficient permission. Then the only thing needed is to select the computer from the advanced BOINC manager menu and enter the network name of the device and the password stored in the gui_rpc_auth.cfg file.
