just want to ask, if i want to upgrade my boinc linux client - i just overwrite all the files in the BOINC folder with new boinc files (just extracted) ?
----------------------------------------ps : i don't want to loose my previous config and Wu's i didn't realize that i'm using wrong boinc client (for 2-3 months, using ubuntu boinc client) and i'm running fedora linux correct me if i'm wrong thanks

The version recommended here is 6.2.15 which is also the version in the Fedora 10 Repository.
Version : 6.2.15.2.20080818svn.fc10 Just do a "yum install boinc-client boinc-manager" (without quotes) as root. That should do it. ![]() |

Too bad the (K)Ubuntu repo still has a very old version.
----------------------------------------Just added the Debian repo and updated! Watch out, after updating the boinc-client boinc-manager remove the Deb repo or your (K)Ubuntu could get screwed up because of other Deb upgradable packages. Cheers and happy crunching ![]() ![]() |
