Processor use issue

Hello, I have a question about processor usage...

So, I recently upgraded to Ubuntu 8.10. But after the upgrade, it looks like BOINC is not using 100% of the CPU time, even though I am telling it to do so in the preferences!

It has large spikes of less use in the processors at equally spaced intervals. What could be causing this?

Is it some setting I have to change through the command line?

Re: Processor use issue

Hello Gandalph,
Make sure that you are not running on local preferences. The General Preferences on the web site should specify 100%.

Re: Processor use issue

Thanks, the problem was that when upgrading to the new version of Ubuntu, the profile switched from default to school, which uses only 80% of CPU time.

I have corrected the problem and will resume 100% operation :)
