Hi,
My laptop computer is kind of powerful enough to do 2 WU/day. And I receive 2 WU's per time (2 cores). BUT my laptop stays offline for 2-3... days and it has work for only 1 day. So much of power is wasted. How can i receive more than 2 WU's so my laptop has enough work for few days. |

You might like to look at the following thread http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=24101 as, in it, there are details of how to go to your Device Mgr and change the settings - the one which you'd benefit from, is the 'Workunit Cache Settings', where you can increase the 'Cache' so as to download and process extra work whilst your laptop is 'offline'

Open your BOINC client. Click on Advanced and then Preferences.
Click the Network Usage tab. You'll see a field on the right named "Additional Work Buffer". You can change this all the way up to 10 days of work. |
