Minor quibble

The grammar on the graphic page can probably be forgiven since you folks are chemists, not language scholars.

You can be "Waiting for Graph Info" or you can be "Awaiting Graph Info", but you can't be "Awaiting for" it. wink

I would venture a guess that the incorrect use of language has less to do with fact the scientists involved are chemists and more to do with English being a second, or perhaps third, language for many of the investigators on these projects.

As long as I can understand the point being made, I really don't have a problem because I know their English is a whole lot better than my Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, German, etc.

Re: Minor quibble

Point taken.

I was thinking more of the image being projected, since the site is associated with Harvard.

Point well made, but my fear is that the "Science Guys" might seek help which could eventually work its way up to the Harvard Law School. Then we would get 3 paragraphs of project update followed by 78 pages of legal disclaimers. (LOL)

And who wants to wade through THAT jungle. Certainly not I.

This has been fun, but perhaps it is time to bring this enjoyable repast to a close ... or perhaps not.

Cheers to all.

Re: Minor quibble

Mike, thank you for your reporting.
The CEP scientists are reading this forum rather frequently, maybe they will be happy to find something easy to fix, for a change.

Cheers. Jean.

BigMike and osugrad,

The grammer issue was my fault and not the researchers. The screen savers are not written by the researchers. I am the primary person who writes the graphic code. It does not have anything to do with a particular person not having English as a first language. English is my first language, C++ my second, followed closely by many other computer languages...

I have submitted a change to the screen saver and hopefully on the next iteration of the code you will see the change. There are actually two changes, i'll let you guys figure out the second. biggrin

Thank you again for your input on the screen saver as I try to fix most of my errors and suggestions are always nice to have :)
