Thank you all for your prayers and good thoughts. My step-dad passed on last night (1/15).

My sympathies to you and your family.
----------------------------------------All I can suggest is to try and remember him with a smile on his face from a happy time. That is what helped me when my father passed.  |

I lost my dad to metastatic colon cancer in 1995. It sounds trite to say that time does help to heal the grief; but now I can smile and remember him before he was sick, especially when I do or say something that's so like something he would have done or said. It feels like he's not gone, but still right there with me at those times.
