Windows 7 and Boinc

I'm currently dual-booting with Windows 7 and Vista SP1. When running the Boinc Client (6.5) in Windows 7, I've discovered the computer will still go into sleep mode with the software still running. My system cannot fully awaken either, resulting in either freezing or a BSOD. I'm looking to adjust the sleep settings right now, but I figured I'd warn others in the meantime.

Edit: I've turned off sleep mode and reported the problem to MS.

Also: I'm getting a performance boost in Windows 7 over Vista SP1, maybe 5%? I'll know more soon enough...

Re: Windows 7 and Boinc

Pre-release software running on a pre-release operating system?

You're lucky it works at all. :-)

The sleep problems have already been discussed in the BOINC mailing list. In future, you should direct your comments there - boinc_alpha. That way it will do the most good.

I've been running Win7 for about a month, and I can vouch for that. Performance gains over XP, even.
