---------------------------------------- Dave Bell was the first Team Member who joined MOT after I put a whole load of smileys as a joke in the team thread as everyone else was doing at the time. Lawrence Hardin joined the next day and that's when I coined the tag line "The Best Supported Team on the World Community Grid" as we 3 were and still are prolific in the forum helping out. So even with just 7 members at the time, tongue in cheek, we could claim to be the "best supported" as we really are today - and that's how it happened....... Thanks Dave  Regards (Another) Dave  |

I've been a bit quiet over the last couple of days - life dealt me a curve ball yesterday as it is apt to do - plus I'm putting together a Windows 2003 server to host the website (and add a Sempron 3000+ to my 3200+ for crunching
---------------------------------------- ) Yesterday I discovered that Microsoft SQL server will not install on the "Web Edition" a nugget of info that will serve me well in the future but frustrating yesterday. So one Windows 2003 Standard edition later + service pack 1,SQL server plus it's service packs and it's beginning to resemble a decent web server. The reason behind all this extra technology is down to our resident Java Guru Aldeb who has developed WCG Stats Beta 2 (beta 1 does all the work for Ranking info) which will extract a whole load of info from the WCG site into a SQL Database. Thanks Dave and everyone else on the team. I really have enjoyed riding along with everyone on this team. I believe that Lawrence actually beat me to the team by a few hours when we both joined on December 4 last year. It is interesting to note that David, Lawrence and I were already pretty familiar with one another through the forums already and it was only about 2 1/2 weeks into the project. I thought it would be fun to paraphrase my first post (December 4, 2004, at 05:43:26 AM UTC) to what evolved into "Chapter One" of the team thread. In response to
