Again today I got the same problem. After folding for a few days, the agent tried to upload the data, then it threw it up, god knows where, and then it started to down load a new batch of data. I still do not know how to resolve this anoying situation.
So I took matters in my own hands. I removed the old agent from my start up folder, I downloaded a new agent. This new agent (I presume its the new agent) started to download new data, and its now folding. I will see in a few days if this has resolved this on going problem. If anyone can look at my stats, just notice that there are about 3-4 returns with total processing time of 1 sec. Does this make sense? Of course not, for these past transactions, my computer actually folded the data for hours and hours, not just a few seconds. So I'm giving it another try. |

Hello,
I'm a additional waiter for the merge-function of devices. At one computer my son deinstalled the client without asking me (how terrible ...) so I had to install a new client. The counting starts now with a new ID and the same client name. Merging this two devices is what I need !!! I saw an effect running with several users on the same machine, the client is in the "all user" startup at my computers. When the access rights are not "full control", the client can not upload and turns to sleep. Are there special registry rights needed for running the client? I install a client with admin rights and then turn to a normal user for running the client, setting the WCG-directory to full-control for users... WBR Peter |

It looks like the agent/rosetta is crashing on your machine for some reason.
Please update your virus scanner with the latest virus signatures and scan your system. Virus activity can crash the agent when a virus modifies certain files. Which virus scanning software do you use? Some of the products have extra protection functions which can cause problems. Then, try turning on logging for your firewall and any other such tool or spyware detector. Then see if any of these are blocking execution in some way, per their logs. If this doesn't show anything, try disabling them to see what happens. Is your system overclocked? That could cause problems. You can check the hardware by running a CPU and a Memory test of your system for a few hours each using something like: Hot CPU tester version 4.2.2: http://7byte.com/index.php?page=download Memtest86: http://www.memtest86.com/ |
