Anyone know what this message means?
Message from Server: (won't finish in time) Computer on 96.4% of time, BOINC on 99.9% of that. I'm assuming it is related to the DC move since I've never seen this before. |

It means that the work unit the scheduler was about to send had a time estimate that meant on your computer, given the best estimates available, it would not finish by the deadline. In these circumstances, the scheduler doesn't send the task.
You may have noticed reports of some really, really huge work units recently. I imagine these have affected the time estimates on the server (correctly or not). |

I did get three new WU's but they were set with a due date of 1/6. I already had some WUs in queue that are due 1/7. So I'll assume this is due to the DC move. I guess I won't be able to beef up my queue for the move. Oh well, it will give my server a long deserved break. The only time it is ever down is normally during hurricanes.

Yes, the deadline has been reduced to 7 days.
I notice now that you are talking about NRW. This means that it is purely the estimates provided by your client that are messed up, since the server knows how long a NRW task will take. |

So how might one fix this, or will it eventually work itself out if left alone ?

Hello Sgt.Joe,
NRW work units are preset to run for X hours, such as 8 hours. BOINC does not know this and tries to figure out how long they will run. Depending, BOINC may be accurate or may be wildly off. Lawrence |
