Re: Prioritize start of queued tasks

Amazing so much back and forth. BOINC runs FIFO, period. It only switches to deadline sequence when one or more jobs are under threat of not making it whilst the client is programmed to always schedule in such a way that a job will be completed 24 hours before deadline, simple. If you know the duration is grossly underestimated for a job, intervene, but only then.

Re: Prioritize start of queued tasks

If the computer does get turned off, the downtime is taken into consideration when pushing tasks to the computer. From personal experience, the less I tweak the jobs the better the flow and the less problems I have with meeting deadlines.
