Re: GPU computing?

Sorry, all forgot that WCG is the only one tracking contributed CPU time. Does BOINCview catch these jobs and if so do they list as the CPU / GPU time or both in the Completed tab?

(I am not sure that I am understanding your question right.)
WUs of GPU-projects are shown in the BOINC Manager with correct CPU time which is only some minutes for a whole WU lasting several hours. But the shown time to completion is wall clock time.
On my quad there are running 4 WUs for WCG and additionally two WUs for GPUGRID (my video card has two GPU processors). So BOINC Manager shows six running instances.

Re: GPU computing?

I´m not using boincview. But on the websites is the GPU-Time not listed. Seti@home shows CPU-time (120 seconds or so) GPU-grid nothing, only creditpoints.

That's not quite correct, I think.
You can find CPU time and the elapsed time for entire WU on the web page for this WU of GPUGRID. Look to this example.

Re: GPU computing?

Found so much on the X-project comparer that WCG / GPUgrid is 0.075 per processing second, 13.318 fold credit, with 859 devices that both do WCG & GPUgrid. No opinion how Apple / Orange that is. 859*13= 11,167 regular CPU cores of average speed. We'll know if the target project finds it's way how CPU / GPU truly compares in time to complete when the product should be identical.

thanks for looking into the record time.
