Ran it with a Intel Quad Core Extreme QX9770 3.2GHz (whitout overclocking), 4GB DDR3 RAM, OS Windows Vista Ultimate 32 Bits SP1,
running four CEP WU's at sametime without any interruption.

Hello and welcome Chris!
Well the normal deadline maybe 12 days, but I've had at least two WU with a deadline of 2 days or less.

The WU that you show is what we call a repair WU which is sent with a shorter deadline to replace the "No reply" WU.
These repair WUs have a deadline of 20 % of the normal one. And in your case the deadline for the original WU to replace was still 7 days as you can see in other threads of the CEP forum.
If you have been sent such a repair WU it is because you are usually returning results quite fast so, if in addition this WU is "Running, high priority" as they usually are, you should not have any problem to return it in time.
Even if it is a little late you will probably be the first one to return the second result and your work will be credited normally.

i also have 2 others pendin validation but besides that i have stoped running CEP for a bit working to try to get a 2nd beta and work the other pojects...

Apparently the status log here shows that this is a known problem. Maybe they should stop sending work for these inconclusive batch.

I just noticed my first inconclusive work unit today.

Can somebody tell me if I'll eventually get credit for it, and all the subsequent workunits I run to try to validate it?

I don't want to throw good computing power after bad. sad

The technicians here are rather generous for jobs that do not reach the valid state. Half credit if invalid. Full credit if valid.

Often technicians give full credits to each cruncher for problem work units such as the problems being investigated with CEP. This is not to say that you are guaranteed full credit, but there is a good chance that you will get it even though you don't see it show up in your results status.

So just keep crunching and let's hope that the technicians will work out all the bugs. They do a good job with it.

I have a problem? with my first upload (ever) to CEP

It was crunched and upped upped the 15th of dec. and is still listed as inconclusive.
(I've had 2 more candidates since listed as inconclusive but they have changed status and are listed now as valid)

This is one of the main problems currently under investigation but still not solved, unfortunately. We are still seeing it on most of the Linux beta WUs which have been distributed yesterday.
So, yes you and us will have to be patient. smile
