We will soon be starting a beta test for the Linux and Mac versions of The Clean Energy Project.
The official announcement in the Beta Test forum says the same thing. |

Yay! More betas.
----------------------------------------They seem to have flip-flopped in their time estimates. The one I got a week ago drastically under-estimated time of completion. (But then they were all giving error status, so might be worthless for time too.) The new ones look to be drastically over-estimating the time required. eg. Estimated CPU time remaining at start of run: 80.0 hours Estimate based on progress (ie Methods 2 or 3 from the FAQ ): 27.8 hours Real time taken: 30.89 (edited to add real time) [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Dec 21, 2008 9:27:02 AM] |

I have got three of them, returned two and the third has still 1.5 hour to go.
----------------------------------------Machine is a Q6600 at 2.88 GHz, 2GB RAM, Ubuntu 8.04 64-bit, Boinc 5.10.45. In my case they were rather well sized, about 8 hours and the first two have needed 7.12 and 7.41 hours to complete. The bad news is that they have both produced the following Status Log, the good news being that it looks like the case was anticipated, so maybe things are well under control. Let's hope. <core_client_version>5.10.45</core_client_version> <![CDATA[ <stderr_txt> Calling initGraphics() INFO: No state to restore. Start from the beginning. Exiting. NORMAL STOPDivide by zero. I have 15 Beta's, but already 12 of them are in Error state and 3 of them are in progress currently...
