Another "To Late" Question

Looking at one of the beta WUs that got routed to my slowest device I see:

Project Name: Beta Testing

Does this mean that no credits will be awarded for the 118+ hours of CPU time members donated will be lost or will credits be awarded?

Re: Another "To Late" Question

hi wplachy,

It's not "another" question as it was answered by knreed.

1. the results are used, good, bad or ugly, if only to learn the failure rate.
2. Credit is given for "too late" BETA results for those that come in within 5 days of deadline.

How it works I don't know, manual or automatic. Think it is reasonable as getting 10 tasks that were originally estimated at 4 hours turning 24 each will automatically result in one or more going in overtime.

Invalid also gave full credit... reasonable too as that's what's beta testing is for.

ciao

PS, I've got 2 TLs myself, so i can observe the outcome.

Re: Another "To Late" Question

Update: The TL's had points awarded, but converted to Invalid at the same time, from 2 different devices.

BETA_ E000370_ 275A_ 001e93161_ 3-- 628290 Invalid 5-12-08 15:41:56 6-12-08 10:15:45 17.80 275.0 / 268.8
BETA_ E000370_ 415A_ 001e96169_ 1-- 95711 Valid 3-12-08 00:04:51 5-12-08 07:01:47 24.68 247.5 / 221.9
BETA_ E000370_ 171A_ 001e90189_ 1-- 95711 Invalid 2-12-08 23:17:14 4-12-08 15:59:16 24.24 243.2 / 243.2

Dark ways, but at least the programmers have data to chew on.
