Could you add a way of seaching for specific words within the very long threads? For example, search the very long thread about cancer news for specific posts about a certain type of cancer, not just the fact that it is mentioned somewhere in that thread.

robertmiles,
----------------------------------------can you give an example of a word or word combination. Principally I find posts relatively easy, but getting to them in long threads is a big problem because selecting the found message does not jump to the post unless on the first page. Few tricks: Word combinations in quotation marks narrows a search down Changing the search line in the address bar at end to 1000 shows lots more posts on 1 page than the maximum of 50 (see forum profile). e.g. http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/...amp;forum=0&rows=1000 Once you have a list, at least with Firefox I can do fast search while typing for anything like dates, names, any string. Denote time / date and navigate to an estimated page in a long thread, by changing the address bar value to best guess post number... e.g. 1250 which with a profile setting of 50 would cause a jump to page 25 There are more tricks covered in a Start Here forum FAQ, to make it easier but not painless. ciao
