cool Re: number of people on grid programs World Grid, seti,[etc]

Yes, we are currently a small distributed computing cluster. Predictor@home is about the same size. I have been following their server problems, trying to handle so many people. It helps put things into perspective. I expect that we will grow as people start to notice our accomplishments.

[Grin] What I really mean is that I expect we will brag a lot once we have a project completed.

Haha, yeah I joined because I read something on the BBC website about how much progress they were making. I would think that we'll get a lot more exposure after we complete this project.

Re: number of people on grid programs World Grid, seti,[etc]

Even though this Grid is small in devices and even smaller in member count then some of the other grids like boinc and Grid.org.

The server farm and database software running the Server side of this business is extremelyy fast. From my experiances with DB3 in my occcupation this database really does blow every other database out off the water coming down to large scale information.

The client side of the grid seems to have extremely fast computers associated with it. As eevidenced in the amount of workunits completed.
