Symptom #1: "wcg_rice_graphics_6.17_windows_intelx75 has stopped working". This message appears about once every 15 minutes of CPU time; if I leave the computer alone for a day, I'll have about 3 dozen of these messages waiting for me.
Sympton #2: Inside my BOINC Manager 6.2.28, The Nutritious Rice for the World 6.17 project shows a "computation error". All other projects work fine. The Rice project worked fine until a couple weeks ago. I am running Windows Vista Home Premium with the latest Microsoft updates. Troubleshooting attempts: I reinstalled the WCG programs, but still have the same problem. Thanks in advance for any assistance. |

Hello DavidEason.com,
Do you have a NRW work unit listed in your Tasks tab? Lawrence |

What security software do you use? Recent updates to a couple of security programs seem to be too sensitive where WCG is concerned.
For now, you are the only one reporting this error. |

What security software do you use? AVG AntiVirus 8.0.199, with web shield disabled and everything else enabled. I also run that on three other computers (same security software) with no problems running the rice client. Thanks in advance for any advice. |

Hello DavidEason.com,
Have all 4 tasks stopped running or is this a problem with just 1 task? Have you considered aborting the current tasks? Lawrence |
