Re: results not posting

Hi, Shirley.

I think I can explain the phenomenon you saw. There is a gap in the work sent to your computer. It seems BOINC couldn't get new work between 2 November and 9 November. Looking earlier in your posts, I see the line "Couldn't resolve host name". This means a network problem occurred. It could be as trivial as a disconnected network cable or disabled wifi. Anyway, you resolved the problem on 9 November, and now all is well.

Do keep an eye on it and report back to us if this should happen again.

Thanks Didactylos and all who responded to this thread. It does look like it is going through ok now. One of my problems was that it seemed the project my computer was working on finished up here, but did not go home...so to speak! (I am wondering if some were permanently lost due to that lack of communication. Either way this thread can be closed now.

Thanks again!

Shirley

It's very easy to check: go to your Results Status page and use the Results Status filter to look for "No reply" and "Too late" jobs.

Cheers. Jean.
