My grid software shows I am turning in 1-2 results a day, but on the WCG website it is showing 117 hours since I have turned in a result. Any insight would be helpful,

Have you looked on the My Grid > Result Status page what the status is of the tasks you've completed in the last 117 hours?

Have you looked on the My Grid > Result Status page what the status is of the tasks you've completed in the last 117 hours? My grid is showing 122 hours since last results returned. I am pretty sure that I saw some returned a day or two ago. I have not been tracking it that closely. I have two running right now at about 49% completed with about 3 hours to go. I know the time is relative and the computer is not working all of the time on these. I can wait for these two to upload and than see if the statistics change and write down the times as I notice. Anything else I could do? (keeping in mind I am not an expert on what this contraption does!)  |

Uploading is not the whole story....you have to wait until they are validated...that is why you were asked to look at the state of the results...they may be all Pending!

----------------------------------------Before digging any deeper I think that you should check that your agent is crunching under the member name you think it is. If you are using the Simple view place your mouse pointer over the WCG icon under My Projects and a message will show with the member name in it. If you are using the Advanced view go to the Projects tab and check the account name in the WCG line. Cheers. Jean. |

PRNRN91, Before digging any deeper I think that you should check that your agent is crunching under the member name you think it is. If you are using the Simple view place your mouse pointer over the WCG icon under My Projects and a message will show with the member name in it. If you are using the Advanced view go to the Projects tab and check the account name in the WCG line. Cheers. Jean. It takes me no time to get totally lost in these screens. The results page states in progress since 11/2. No results showing on 4 of the ones I think have been uploaded. It still seems like more than that should have uploaded. I was crunching, 2 at a time on Nutritious rice yesterday, today I have 2 of the Conguer Cancer being worked on. I look at the graphics and it scrolls my nick so I know it is crunching under the right name. I have not changed any settings, I don't want to because that is when I really mess up my computer...LOL. I have been using boinc for over a year I think, without this kind of problem. Of course I do tend to learn more when I have problems!!!! Thanks for all of the comments, any other places to check? oh, I am using accessible view, I don't see an option for advanced in the view tab. When you click on the Transfers tab, does it show any incomplete transfers?
When you click on the Messages tab, does it show files that have been uploaded to your Results Status page? |

There is nothing under the transfers tab. The accessibility view is the uncluttered version that is better suited to the visual impaired. Switching your learning mode in overdrive, here a wiki link explaining both in detail the "Simple View" and "Advanced View". http://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/The_BOINC_Manager ciao PS, don't ask me why in my version 6.2.25 beta the "Accessible View" is not called "Accessibility View", for it's design is so that e.g. voice synthesizer can read it out or not to glut the screen when extreme zooming is applied.

Ok that did tell me I was in advanced view....sorta!! I still have no idea why I am now over 134 hours without a result being counted. The grid view doesn't seem to do much of anything!!
