Hi all,
----------------------------------------I am a French member of another team, and I would like to change. After having read the Teams list, I don't find the official WCG Team. There are lots of #WCG# teams, and #worldcommunitygrid# teams, but they all have 1 or 0 members  Can anyone help me finding the official team ? Thanks a lot

----------------------------------------There is no "official" team, but have created "World Community Grid" which holds 1 member "Community Advisors" and is only used for organizing "official" challenges without actually participating in Challenges [outside contention] http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/team/viewTeamInfo.do?teamId=N4QMVBXCKT1 Many teams would love to have you join, but team promotion except in the "official" team threads is not allowed, So, here's my wink: Learn Dutch ;>)

The whole point of teams is that there isn't an official one.
World Community Grid have the aggregate statistics to call their own :-D |

I do not see how this violates any rules. On top of that, what are we supposed to do, ignore someone who properly posts in the Teams forum? We don't want them to quit WCG thinking no one cares. To Pascal94, we're just one of a number of teams that I'm sure would welcome you. None of us want to "steal" you from your current team but if you have decided to leave the team you are a member of now, have a look through some of the individual team threads here and see which one catches you eye. Finding one with characteristics that match what you are looking for in a team will usually make for a good experience. Don't hesitate to ask either if you have any more questions. |

OK Dave and others, I have interpreted the forum rule too strictly as if it were "don't recruit outside your team tread". I was abused by the reasoning "if you may not recruit outside the Team forum and if you can have only one thread per team then you may recruit only in your team thread". I forgot the case when an opportunity like this one is offered to rightfully recruit outside one's team thread.
----------------------------------------Anyway, my post was not innocent, as I have said in French** for Pascal whom I know already for having already discussed with him in the forum of his current (past?) team. I just wanted him to not forget which team I belong to, in case he would be interested. Cheers.
