Duplicate Device Name?

If you have a result in the message log showing a finished computation and in the Tasks window the results show "Ready To Report", then you best see if first off the "in progress" results on the Result Status page match with that listed in the Task Window of the Device.

No, each device has a unique name. I thought to check that already. See why I am stumped?

Stephanie, it is difficult for us when members post in an old thread claiming to have the same problem. Evidently it isn't the same problem, even if there are a few similarities.

Anyway, to help you, we need more information.

You say this machine "cranks out work like crazy". Can you show us a message log telling us what it is doing?

Can you go to the device list on the website, and set it to show all devices? Is this computer there? (It must be, since devices are never deleted, and you claim you saw it once. The inference is that this machine has stopped returning work.)

I appologize if I didn't ask in the correct place or manner. I was unsure how to do it. In any case the last reinstall (of the 5 or 6 I did) must have somehow fixed it as it is now showing up in the "Results Status" list. Thanks for your attempt to help with this.

Stephania,

Am in the process of compiling an FAQ for things to check on missing devices and or results. In principle if a device has fetched work, it is doubtless known here and should show somewhere. If a device is started the message log shows the host name under which it should show at minimum on the Result Status page and the Device Manager.
