Would it be possible to enhance the statistics to show monthly rolling averages in addition to current cumulative averages? The cumulative results now shown give you now way to gauge current/recent performance. It could be done within the same display area used now with minor changes, for example:
Averages:...........................Cumulative:.................Past week: ..Avg. Run Time Per Day.....0:008:01:46:32..........0:010:02:23:43 ..Avg. Run Time Per Result..0:000:06:24:17..........0:000:05:43:29 ..Avg. Points Per Hour.........73.01.........................82.21 ..Avg. Points Per Day..........14,148.08...................35,353.64 ..Avg. Points Per Result.......467.63........................489.63 ..Avg. Results Per Day........30.25..........................67.50 I also think this would also stimulate people into providing more CPU cycles, because if they lax for a couple days they will see their results slipping much sooner and with more drastic effect - missing a couple days of compute time hardly phases the cumulative statistics currently. It's also annoying to me since I've added significant processing power and the cumulative statistics are not even close to representative of what I'm doing now. It would also help to prod my team members that are slipping without having to keep running averages for my whole team all the time. This is the sort of thing routinely done by 3rd party stats sites.
That doesn't rule out the possibility of adding it to the WCG site, but since the information is available elsewhere, it's not an urgent priority. |
