This past weekend I had to do a system restore to an earlier time period with Windows XP.
Once I started back up, I decided to remove all of the WU's that may have already been processed. Basically I removed all of the WU's. When I restarted, I kept seeing this message: 8/24/2008 4:09:54 PM|World Community Grid|Sending scheduler request: Requested by user. Requesting 1416960 seconds of work, reporting 0 completed tasks 8/24/2008 4:09:59 PM|World Community Grid|Scheduler request succeeded: got 0 new tasks 8/24/2008 4:09:59 PM|World Community Grid|Message from server: No work sent 8/24/2008 4:09:59 PM|World Community Grid|Message from server: No work is available for Help Conquer Cancer 8/24/2008 4:09:59 PM|World Community Grid|Message from server: (reached daily quota of 4 results) Same thing has happened when I removed the previous version of BOINC and did a clean install of 6.2.18. I've absolutely run out of ideas. Hopefully someone here can assist. Thanks in advance. |

Did you reset WCG in the projects tab...???
----------------------------------------Edit: It says, that no work is available for HCC. Do you accept work from other projects, when no work is available for your prefered projects??? [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Aug 24, 2008 9:38:48 PM] |

Digibits, the reason is that you removing work probably over a span of time caused for your client to be rated unreliable by the servers, hence the daily quota of 4. 1416960 seconds of work request = 16.4 days of work. If that was your buffer size you have lots of jobs this moment listed on your Result Status page in error, thus the rating. It needs 15 good jobs or so consecutive to reach normal reliability rating. Don't do anything, keep the connect time short and after 00:00 UTC, in a few hours, you should be getting a few jobs to crunch and reprove your system is reliable. ciao PS

Figured it might be something like that. Will just leave BOINC on and let it receive WU's at the designated time.
Thanks! |
