If you have no work to process at the moment I'd be unhappy, but default settings are that you should have a number of hours to go.
----------------------------------------What i see in my client log is that somewhere after 2:28pm my time the server, the scheduler part stopped accepting "Ready To Report" and lining up new work, but upload of results works fine. The technicians are in, so I presume they're working on something. 8/18/2008 4:05:55 PM|World Community Grid|Computation for task faah4316_000733_MC_xMut_md00230_0D_1 finished 8/18/2008 4:05:55 PM|World Community Grid|Starting faah4316_001628_MC_xMut_md00230_06_0 8/18/2008 4:05:55 PM|World Community Grid|Starting task faah4316_001628_MC_xMut_md00230_06_0 using faah version 605 8/18/2008 4:05:57 PM|World Community Grid|Started upload of faah4316_000733_MC_xMut_md00230_0D_1_0 8/18/2008 4:05:57 PM|World Community Grid|Started upload of faah4316_000733_MC_xMut_md00230_0D_1_1 8/18/2008 4:06:04 PM|World Community Grid|Finished upload of faah4316_000733_MC_xMut_md00230_0D_1_0 8/18/2008 4:06:10 PM|World Community Grid|Finished upload of faah4316_000733_MC_xMut_md00230_0D_1_1 8/18/2008 4:06:13 PM|World Community Grid|Sending scheduler request: To report completed tasks. This sounds like a problem that we have had before when 1 server went down and the other stayed up. Luck of the draw which server the request was sent to. Some people would have bad luck and some people would have good luck.

I have a 2 day cache set, so should be ok for over another day. I wont hammer the server just now with requests. I'll wait a few hours.

Where can I see a server status page that lets me know if there are any WUs available for my Windows client? tia Roland ![]() |

Good grief ...
----------------------------------------Charlie Brown.. you BlockHead!!! I Want my WU and I want it NOW! BTW.. this only started happening when I permitted the Aids WU's to start running on my system about 2 hours ago... coincidence ? ![]() Hmmm.... so then I said to myself, "Self, what if I disabled the FightAIDS@Home project and tried it?" So I did and immediately got this: and that was the only change.... coincidence ? ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Aug 18, 2008 4:31:02 PM] |

Benderr2001,
----------------------------------------Sorry about that "in from the cold" experience. There's no place to see what's in the feeders. WCG has always work, oodles to at least well into the next decade. It's just one of these Monday morning/afternoon mishaps. The techs were asked to check in the back room. What we do recommend is that if a member chooses to only run a particular (sub) project of WCG, to opt-in to the "If there is no work available for my computer for the projects I have selected above, please send me work from another project." option in the device profile so when something runs dry, you get work from a backup (sub)project at WCG. Barney, interesting, but my HCC only client is getting it it too, intermittently. It's intermittent for me and just got more faah: 8/18/2008 6:25:37 PM|World Community Grid|Sending scheduler request: To fetch work.
