Thread: I membered on 01.08.08, did about 12 houres work and my statistic is at everything on zero! |

Please help me!!
the BOINC-client ran already 12 houres on my PC but in the statistics nothing changed from beginning!! |

Hi!
----------------------------------------There are several possible reasons for this: 1. You didn't returned any results to the server. 2. If you did finished some WU, then it has to be validated on WCG servers. Until then, you won't get any credit (points for your job). 3. WCG servers update statistics only two times a day, so maybe you should wait a little to see new statistics with your results. But i did already one hole job (hcc1) and i did work on friday (about 7 houres) and yesterday and nothing changed in the statistics!!

----------------------------------------Most likely, your result either reported an error, or not yet validated. To check this, please, look at your Results Status page (in My Grid section). There you will see status of all your results. Please, copy them into you message and post it to this thread so we could look at them and give you a better hint. hmmm, you post here as member99. What shows in the BOINCmgr Project Tab as account name?
----------------------------------------If the same, the next question is, if there is in the Tasks tab a result listed with "Ready To Report"? (If in Simple View take option, right bottom to Advanced View to get there) If member name different, than look in the My grid statistics of that account. Next question is, are the names of the jobs you just listed from the Result Status page same as in the BOINC Tasks tab list? Until work is returned and validated, which can take until several days after work return, you wont be seeing credit.

As I can see, all your WUs are "In Progress" state. It means that either it all your WU are still waiting for be crunched on your client (or maybe are crunching now), or you did not uploaded the result to the server.
----------------------------------------Please check if there's only 1 page on the Results Status page. If there are more - copy the content of the second. If yes, then let's see further... Please, check Tasks tab on your WCG client (you may need to switch to Advanced view). And check out the status of the WUs in the list of your dowloaded WUs. If you see any WU that has 100% complete - you can upload it to server (if it's not done automaticly). Press Update button on the Projects tab in the client - it should start uploading all finished WU. You can see the progress on the Transfers tab. Ok, so you've uploaded your X0000049311098200505251851_0 task only today (not Friday). If you still see this task as 100% complete on the Tasks tab in the client - please press Update button on the Projects tab. And then WU status on the Results Status page on the WCG website should change to Pending Validation, Error or Valid. If it will be Valid - you'll see your first credits on the My Statistics page (My Grid section) after nearest statistics update.

The last 2 lines indicate the result was upload. Your Transfer Tab in BOINCmgr should now be empty.
----------------------------------------Now switch to the Advanced view, visit the Tasks tab and tell us if there is a "Ready To Report" line for your HCC1 job. Th "Ready To Report" confirms to the Scheduler, a different part of the database system, that the Result transfer was executed properly. [Edit: As per Dmitrio you could hit the Update button, but BOINC eventually will do the reporting automatically and tries to combine that with other server interaction to improve server-client communication efficiency (not going to expand on that, but it's complicated and important) ]
