less that 60 posts left here before we hit 500 and DM starts kvetching!  Sorry ... I would not do it if this gook forum software was not so horribly bad.   Oh I don't blame you! Even on a widescreen WXGA display, I have to scroll right and left sometimes since it won't resize sigs. I just ordered my daughter's Christmas 2.5GHz quad core, 2GB ram, 250GB disk, with extra usb and serial ports and cd/dvd drive for about $1250 plus got a 20 inch Acer display from Tiger for $170. So?  Does she crunch with us? Will the new machine crunch with us? Oh? And what use does a five year old have for a QUAD core? Yes, I suspect it will probably double my output.  She could beat on it with a big spoon. Never too young to start crunchin'.My new one will not be here for 2 weeks. It's one of those Tiger Direct drop-ship specials from another supplier deals.  |

Don't you think you've had enough Quads already Dataman? *wonders where this money comes from...*I eventially want to get to eight quads (the limit of my main KVM switch) ... then I can get rid of the other KVM, monitor, a 1/2 ton of cables, etc. But after donating the 3 P4's yesterday, I actually have one totally empty rack shelf. It looks so strange. Then I can start replacing the eight quads with eight 8-cores. The money comes from the stock/bond/commodities markets. But lately I've had to work hard for it.  |
