The project will lead farmer to grow only one species of rice with its ecologic involvments unavoidable, that is exactly what the world doesn't need. I agree with you, kalish. I am still not agree with this project also. After more information about seed industry, I stopped the crunching for Nutritious Rice. Please ask admin to remove your badge if you disagree so much with the project and then do not eat anymore rice in your lifetime.

If I could I'd have my computer work ONLY on GM related projects. To compensate for the brainwashed.
BTW, I hope you do not use umbrelas ... if the God wanted us to become wet, who are we to resist his will and protect ourselves?!? |

It's funny (in a frustrated head banging sort of way) how some people refuse to listen to anything that doesn't march in lockstep with their own worldview.
It's jaw droppingly stunning that someone who has been signed up for close to three years & yet has only managed to contribute somewhere between 90-180 total days in that time (this is a side benefit of the new badges that I hadn't thought of ), who would spend who knows how many hours digging into the archives (passing by many threads that explain this same argument over & over), to suddenly jump in & revive a thread with such a succinct pearl of wisdom. Suddenly the glorious rays of enlightenment have exploded over me and those five words of the post (which is one word for every three months of his time here - they must be important to have spent that much time thinking out each word...) have made me throw out all of my ability to comprehend the various articles that I read & then to logically think about what was said. I have seen the light.... No wait, it was just my wife getting up to go to the bathroom & it was the light from there that washed over me. Nope, my brain power is still intact - go away troll, your ignorance is making my head hurt ![]() |

I was going to say "Congrats on your badge", but then I realized that this thread was a year old.

STOP GMO in the world!!! ![]() If people REALLY knew how much GMO food they ALREADY eat, they would continue to eat or starve! I guess they could grow their own, but then they would have to use GMO seeds or have such a large plot of ground that they would have to move to the country and pay someone a ton of money for overpriced farmland! In short GMO has allowed farmers to produce so much more product from a much smaller plot of ground that all the yuppies can now afford to go out and buy that little piece of their dream and own some land and not learn how to farm it! If not for GMO the whole World would be like some parts of the World now, starving!!! Now we go out and the shelves are full, even in Russia where food shortages were rampant just 20 years ago there is food almost everywhere now. ![]() ![]() |

Irony = I dislike rice (except with like curry chicken, or Thai chicken, or chicken fried rice, or shrimp fried rice) Ok, so maybe only plain white rice I dislike, Anyway my wife is intent on feeding the world so our Quad core does RICE (now that the flu is over) I'm chasing the reds with the I7
