Excessive errors

I have 6 computers running the BOINC agent. On 1 machine only, about half the work that is turned in shows as an error instead of valid. It is a Hyperthread P4 3.06 but I have it limited to 1 thread. I thought that might be the problem, but it is still throwing errors for the results and no points. It only errors out on the HCC work units. I'm not sure where else to look. The error messages tell me nothing. HELP.

Re: Excessive errors

Do you have the error log from one of the failed tasks? You can find it here: https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/ms/viewBoincResults.do

Re: Excessive errors

The first thing worth considering is your security software. If your security software blocked the HCC application, that is the error you would get.

There may be other possible causes, but this gives you somewhere to start looking.

Re: Excessive errors

I will check through the COMODO firewall logs and see what I can find. It is odd that it only happens on this machine and only while running the HCC work units. I will let you know if I find anything.

smile Re: Excessive errors

Well I went through the Comodo logs and nothing really said ME, but I did change some minor settings and so far it seems to have stopped throwing errors. I let the Hyperthreading loose also , and still no errors so I am going to leave everything alone and let it work. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Now back to work.
