Congratulations to Fury and Rasse on reaching 100,000 points for the team. Keep on crunching you are both doing a great job.

We've now posted the 3rd most team points on the grid for 5 consecutive days. For a team of just 124 members that's impressive stuff. If we keep going at this rate we'll be 7th this time next week.

Together we are running a 604Ghz processor all day and everyday for the WCG cause.

I overcomed Orca yesterday.

Good idea to start a new thread Dave, it was pretty difficult for a newbie like me to find where to go on the old one.

One thought though, the simple title of the old thread was very likely to shepherd new members to join the team, I'm not sure this thread title will have the same impact. I don't think there is a solution as it had to be clearly stated that this is the new thread.

Congrats to Fury and Rasse on hitting 100k, I am very envious, just have to have patience I suppose. My simple target is for my accumated points to exceed my current ranking ;-)

I don't know of a way to let Seti run at the same time as WCG as WCG has the lowest priority on your PC it will always be the Gentleman and let Seti go first. You can temporarily increase the priority of WCG for a work unit but this isn't to be recommended + WCG will revert to "Low" at the end of each work unit. I suppose it comes down to the question of which you consider to be most important, finding extrateresstrial life by listening out to see if you can receive their TV or Radio broadcasts or helping Mankind by helping Scientists build the understanding needed for new treatments for diseases?

Your PC can only run one work unit at a time. At the moment the software isn't multithreading and so having a multiproccessor system will not allow you to run a work unit any faster. The only way to run more work units is to build yet more PC's you can have more than one PC allocated to your account. Don't worry you'll find yourself comparing CPU and Motherboard prices soon. WCG is addictive. If you need to download more than one work unit at a time so that a PC that is not connected to net very often can work over a period of time on work unit after work unit see this thread http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=478
but please remember that work units have a 3 week timeout. If they don't get back to WCG in three weeks then that workunit is handed out again to another member just something to note.
