i chose 6 'top-rated' tequilas from tastings.com, regardless of price, and tasted them. my only consideration was that they be 100% agave as noted above.
none of them tasted any better than my original find (cazadores reposado at about $30 USD for 750 ml). in fact the cazadores was more 'even', without sudden bursts of flavor and alcohol. well good luck ![]() |

A friend of mine had a couple of bottles once and told me that an old traveler he met used to sniff tequila from a theespoon. Of course we had to try this and it's quite an expierence, straight to the brain, lol.
![]() Anyone familiar with goldstrike btw? |

when i started reading reviews such as this one, i began to think the writers maybe had a few shots before writing
"Brilliant copper color. Lavish aromas of dark chocolate, dried black cherries, cola nut, blossoms, leather, toffee, and roasted nuts lead to a super smooth, oily, and fruity sweet full-bodied palate of chocolate covered cherries and apricots, sweet brown spices, cola nuts, suede, and caramel. Finishes effortlessly with a long, complex, and effortless fade of chocolate, dried fruits, and peppery spice. A wonderfully smooth and rich aƱejo with a great combination of elegance and power. Outstanding." |
