As I said 2 days ago, if you hit the "update" button it will Report immediately. If you do not understand the answers you have been given, then ask in your own language and someone will reply.

btw. : why this feature exists when it doenst work at all ?? Guess what: because it works for the vast majority of users. With your setting you should have 1.3 days of work in queue. If you have about four days that means that Boinc is confused about the performance of this machine. For whatever reason it must be using a "Duration Correction Factor" which is much inaccurate. Although it should be able to recover by itself that would take weeks considering the size of the necessary correction. The simplest and fastest way to reset it is to - go to the Advanced view - let the task(s) in progress finish if you do not want to lose the work done - once these tasks are shown as "Ready to report" go to the "Project" tab, select the WCG line and click on the "Update" button to get them reported - last, click on the "Reset project" button to force Boinc to restart on a clean basis. The tasks in queue will be dropped and you will get new ones until you get close to 1.3 days of work in queue, hopefully. Cheers. Jean. |

Jean and @ all :
----------------------------------------thank you. I got it now and hopefully once and forever ;) the problem was, as usual, in front of the computer ![]() ![]() |

Being a simple soul, I let the machine work on its own, get a glance at the progress from time to time and there are no problems.
Could you try that, perhaps ? |

I've found that, at least with faah workunits, there is apparantly some delay between the time the progress reaches 100% and the time the workunit is ready to report. If BOINC decides to devote that processor to some other project during that time, there can be a delay of hours before the workunit that reached 100% uploads its results and the update button can actualy do anything for this workunit. |

In principle, if there is a connection sensed, even when BOINC was told to "Connect every X hours", will it upload the Result files, speak upload anything you'd see in the "Transfer" tab immediately.
----------------------------------------The small delay can be a result of verification and zipping. One of the WCG projects makes it quite visible by stopping at almost 100%, skip to exact 100% and run on till about 109% before the transmission starts. That can take a minute or so. Not watched it for a long time. Only when a project is new do I tend to do the extra observation. Part 2, the "Ready To Report", goes to a separate server called the Scheduler Daemon. Those lines are cleared later, when the BOINC client scheduler is ready too (trying to combine several transactions in 1 transmission). Just let it run ciao
