The BOINC client on one machine does not fetch more WU's [RESOLVED]

I have two clients installed, one at home and one at work. The work machine has a Service installation and it is on the same profile as the home client.

The work client had no problems until about two weeks ago, when it suddenly stopped fetching additional WU's, despite my settings for additional work buffer of 5 days. It will only fetch work when the current WU's is completed.

This is the message I get when I update the project:

6/16/2008 8:23:46 AM|World Community Grid|Sending scheduler request: To fetch work. Requesting 79829 seconds of work, reporting 0 completed tasks
6/16/2008 8:23:51 AM|World Community Grid|Scheduler request succeeded: got 0 new tasks
6/16/2008 8:23:51 AM|World Community Grid|Message from server: No work sent
6/16/2008 8:23:51 AM|World Community Grid|Message from server: No work is available for AfricanClimate@Home
6/16/2008 8:23:51 AM|World Community Grid|Message from server: (won't finish in time) Computer on 100.0% of time, BOINC on 0.0% of that

I am subscribed to all projects and BOINC is set to use 95% CPU time. The settings on the work client are identical with the ones on the home client.

I've tried reinstalling BOINC but no joy. I tried to join other projects and this is what I get for rosetta@home:

6/16/2008 8:18:00 AM|rosetta@home|Sending scheduler request: Requested by user. Requesting 49447 seconds of work, reporting 0 completed tasks
6/16/2008 8:18:05 AM|rosetta@home|Scheduler request succeeded: got 0 new tasks
6/16/2008 8:18:05 AM|rosetta@home|Message from server: No work sent
6/16/2008 8:18:05 AM|rosetta@home|Message from server: (won't finish in time) Computer on 100.0% of time, BOINC on 0.0% of that

My home client has no problems at all fetching WU's for the additional work buffer.

Help...?

Re: The BOINC client on one machine does not fetch more WU's

BOINC thinks it never runs. Probably this is corrupt data. Uninstall BOINC, then delete the files it left behind before reinstalling.

Make sure you delete all the files in C:\Program Files\BOINC\

Thank you!

Re: The BOINC client on one machine does not fetch more WU's

The <active_frac> value was probably corrupt. Reinstalling does not reset that value as the control files are left in place and reused. Editing the client_state.xml to let it read 0.999000 (when BOINC has been exited) could fix that.
<time_stats>
<on_frac>0.217292</on_frac>
<connected_frac>-1.000000</connected_frac>
<active_frac>0.988721</active_frac>
<cpu_efficiency>0.798831</cpu_efficiency>
<last_update>1213610679.759625</last_update>
</time_stats>
I use BOINCview to keep taps on the key control values. Needs a windows client, but can monitor any client on any OS in a LAN.
